     O jornal americano New York Daily News preparou uma lista onde elegeu as 100 músicas mais românticas da história. Para sua montagem, houveram dois critérios básicos: a posição alcançada pela música nas paradas norte-americanas e o tempo da composição (somente composições a partir de10 anos). Veja a lista abaixo:

Obs: A primeira música da lista, My Girl, fez parte da trilha sonora do filme Meu Primeiro Amor, esttrelado por Macaulay Culkin. Quem já assistiu o filme com certeza deve se lembrar dela.

Curiosidade: o artista que mais teve músicas presentes na lista foram os Beatles, com seis músicas. E curiosamente, Elvis Presley, que é famoso por suas músicas românticas, só tem uma música na lista. Pode ser só minha opinião, mas não fiquei realmente satisfeito com a lista, pois músicas como Love Me Tender, Love Of My Life, Love Hurts e My Endless Love não estarem presentes na lista, é para mim um erro. Mas cada um tem sua opinião.
